What we’re looking for in a nutshell:

We are keen to see applications from candidates who excel in IT Operations and Service Management, with a proven history of leading teams to success and driving continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in Information Technology or Computer Science, though equivalent experience and training are also highly valued. 

Your expertise should span across IT service management, operations, and technologies, particularly in areas like Azure cloud infrastructure, network management and security. A deep understanding of IT and security policies, coupled with knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, is essential. Project management skills, along with certifications such as ITIL, ISO27001, or Azure Certified Solutions Architect/Engineer, will set you apart. 

We seek a leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Additionally, experience in supporting commercial bids and account management activities, with a focus on driving business growth and enhancing customer satisfaction, is highly desirable.

Job purpose:

As the IT Services and Operations Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving excellence in our IT operations, digital security  and service delivery. Your role is part of the wider Digital & Technology function and specifically leads the two small teams of; three IT operations analysts and two engineers; you will also serve as the primary liaison with the business stakeholders being the “face of Technology & Operations'' alongside the Digital & Technology Director. 

You will ensure alignment with organisational goals and customer needs. You will take ownership of IT and security policies through the tangible delivery of a robust security posture, including tools, skill, process and procedures, and be able to support the technical content in commercial bids and account management activities to drive business success.
