Description

This role is advertised for 40 hours per week worked Monday to Friday (with occasional weekend work opportunities) and you will be based in Sackville Building,  ID Manchester. You will be working across a developing public realm estate and multiple buildings, so having a driving licence is essential for the role.

Job purpose:

The Building/Landscaping Team Member will be working to the Estates schedule with reference to the Landscape Management Plan, under instruction from the Customer Operations Manager. As a valued member of the team you will be responsible for driving excellent standards, working safely and maintaining accurate records.

What will you be doing:

  • Offering a warm welcome to the estate, welcoming all members of the public, residents, customers and colleagues alike, being the font of knowledge of what is happening around your area.
  • Maintaining the estates external areas, be it planned preventative maintenance, compliance checks, cleaning, reactive repairs or litter picking. The highest attention to detail will be showcased.
  • Support the Customer Operations Manager and Facilities Team Leader with any tasks that may need attention in and around the estate landscape.
  • Support the Bruntwood building teams when required, networking and building positive working relationships with all team members.
  • Be flexible to support with any task that may arise and is reasonably requested.
  • Everything you do should link back to our Service Mission.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous landscaping/estate management experience is important, however, we’re open to adjacent industry experience.
  • As a perfectionist with attention to detail, you will deliver high standards in all that you do.
  • A people person, you will be comfortable talking with the general public, residents, colleagues alike, and be comfortable talking about our immense events program. 
  • Enthusiastic, engaging and curious, seek to learn, understand then adapt and make your own.
  • Comfortable working in any of Manchester's weather seasons as all four usually come in one day.
  • Safety is more than a word, you will lead by example in your actions, challenge others who are not following safe working practices and be confident to refuse anybody access to the estate if all Health and Safety checks are not in place.
  • Ultimately we are looking for a 'can-do’ attitude. Someone who is enthusiastic and flexible, adapting to a role where no day is the same.
  • Full driving licence is essential for the role.
