This role is advertised for 37.5 hours per week worked Monday to Friday. You will be looking after our portfolio of buildings in Leeds, including Platform, West Gate, 14 King Street, 100 Wellington Street and West Village, one of our newest workspaces, a destination that’s creative, collaborative and with wellness at its heart.

What we’re looking for:

As the Operations Manager you will be working with and managing a team of 6x Facilities Team Members. We're keen to see applications from managerial/leadership backgrounds within operational functions, preferably facilities, but most importantly you'll love working and collaborating with colleagues, being proactive with solutions and driving efficiencies and change through creative ideas and problem solving.

Job purpose:

Our Operations Manager leads the facilities team and is responsible for the effective day to day running of the buildings. Reporting to our Customer Operations Manager, they lead and work with the onsite team to bring our spaces to life, overseeing the daily running of our buildings, ensuring high standards of Health, Safety & Risk compliance and maintaining the upkeep of the fabric of the building.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate and manage the Facilities Team Members who run our buildings, and implement new processes and procedures to enhance our service
  • Ensure compliance and the high standards of the building are maintained and enhanced where possible
  • Working closely with other internal teams - Health, Safety & Risk, Customer Operation Managers, Hosts. 
  • Link into the contract management team, feeding in on contract performance at all times. Find innovative ways to streamline and enhance service delivery, while keeping an eye on the bottom line.
  • Coach, develop and mentor your team so that they fully embrace their role in providing a first time fix.
  • Be part of the ‘On Call’ rota, where for a week at a time, you will be the first point of call for any urgent queries outside of working hours in regards to the Leeds building portfolio.
