Description

As a Cleaning Supervisor, you'll play an important part in providing safe, clean environments in which our customers can thrive in our workspaces.

This role is advertised for 15 hours/week, worked Monday to Friday from 17:00-20:00 in our lovely Union building.

This role is key in helping to create a brilliant environment for our customers. You’ll always be one step ahead, foreseeing things that need to be done and focusing on continuous improvement to ensure that our team adds value, save time and make things simple.

You will work closely with our Area Cleaning Manager to supervise and coordinate the cleaning activity in a building or group of buildings. Our absolute focus is to deliver fantastic service to our customers - they’re at the heart of everything we do. You will be critical in recruiting, training and motivating our team to deliver against this.

What you’ll be doing

  • Be involved in the recruitment and training of new starters ensuring they are successfully onboarded and know what is required from them.
  • Work alongside colleagues to improve standards and ensure the team delivers against the site specification.
  • Act as the first point of call for any on-site customer queries. Where necessary escalate these to your Area Cleaning Manager.
  • Arrange on site holiday and sickness cover ,.
  • Provide orders for chemicals and consumables to ensure the site has sufficient stocks to perform the service.
  • Where necessary arrange cover to ensure any planned and unplanned absences do not impact on the service.
  • Have a relentless focus on service through motivating and engaging your team.
  • Complete a monthly quality audit at each site you are responsible for and strive for continuous improvement. 
  • To provide cover for other team members when necessary.
  • Be an ambassador of the Company values, treat your colleagues and customers with fairness and respect.
  • Engage with your customers and make your service memorable, it’s about interaction not just transaction.

 

What are we looking for?

  • You’ll have an understanding of cleaning methods and have experience of commercial office cleaning
  • It’s essential that you’ve previously supervised or managed a team of Cleaning Team Members
  • You’ll be a problem solver or you just like to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
  • You’ll be an excellent communicator, with a passion for understanding customers and meeting their needs.
  • Collaboration is key, great teams will help each other to get more things done.
  • Grit, passion and resilience are important. You’ll have the flexibility to adapt to new situations, types of people, and ways of working.
  • Reliable, open and honest.
