Description

This role is brand new to Bruntwood as a business, giving a senior Procurement specialist the opportunity to really create something from the ground up. 

Fundamentally you’ll have great support around you, however, importantly you’ll have the autonomy to shape the process and team as you see fit. Driving change and innovation for an ambitious company that already employees over 1000 colleagues.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Developing a robust Procurement and Contract management strategy for the Group, taking into account the specific needs of each division and team.
  • Manage the current Supplier & Relationship management team currently in place, including the internal service desk. (9x colleagues) 
  • Recruiting and then developing a small team (up to 4 FTE) of Procurement and Contract Management professionals.
  • Supporting the shaping and implementation of a new Source to Pay (S2P) system including establishing a No PO / No Pay policy.
  • Developing a P2P onboarding strategy that ultimately achieves > 80% of spend under management. 
  • Creating robust, fit for purpose Procurement and Contract Management policies and procedures that support the Groups’ business and operational objectives.
  • Roll out the ‘Bruntwood Supplier Charter’ to the supplier base including promoting Bruntwood’s sustainability and environmental objectives.
  • Conduct and manage cost reduction and supplier rationalisation programmes.
  • Manage internal stakeholder relationships ensuring that Procurement and Contract Management is consistent and compliant with the Group’s Financial regulations.
  • Deliver meaningful Spend and Contract Management reporting information to the business teams, to help support commercial and operational decision making.
  • Create an effective and reliable contracts database ensuring that contracts are negotiated on time to avoid contract rollovers.
  • Create a centre of excellence for Procurement and Contract Management for Bruntwood Group.
  • Champions Procurement Services to the Group

What’s important to us:

  • You are able to demonstrate extensive experience of Procurement and Contract Management across a broad range of spend categories including Property, IT, Facilities & Services.
  • A track record of creating and developing professional, Procurement and Contract management teams.
  • Experience of Source to Pay Systems including implementation and ongoing catalogue and supplier management.
  • A commitment to sustainable Procurement and Contract management, as well as an understanding of how the ‘Bruntwood Supplier Charter’ can be embedded across internal & external stakeholders and across Supply Chains
  • The ability to ‘sell’ procurement and contract management to the organisation.
  • Be at least a full member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply
  • Experience of Construction related procurement and contracts would be a definite advantage.
